Welcome to Silverado Handweavers and Spinners Guild
Based in the Napa Valley, our guild brings together people who share a love for fiber arts and creative expression. Whether you're weaving at a loom, spinning at a wheel, or experimenting with natural dyes, there’s something special about learning and making alongside others who get just as excited about yarn and color as you do. We welcome all skill levels and encourage anyone curious about fiber arts to join us—you’ll find plenty of inspiration, encouragement, and good company here.
Discover the Fiber Arts We Love
At Silverado Handweavers and Spinners Guild, we celebrate the art of transforming fiber into something beautiful, useful, and entirely handmade. Whether you're just getting curious or have years of experience, these four crafts are at the heart of what we do, and there's always room for more hands at the loom.
Weaving
From scarves to wall hangings to table runners, weaving brings threads together in endless combinations. We explore both traditional and modern techniques, with looms large and small.
Spinning
There's something magical about spinning raw fiber into yarn. Using wheels and spindles, members learn to create custom yarns for knitting, weaving, or simply for the joy of the process.
Tapestry
Tapestry is a form of weaving that focuses on image-making, color blending, and expression. It’s a slower, meditative practice where creativity shines through every pick.
Dyeing
Playing with color is part science, part art. From plant-based natural dyes to vibrant modern methods, dyeing lets members experiment with transforming fiber and yarn into one-of-a-kind palettes.
Guild Meetings
The guild meets on the 1st Saturday of the month from 10:30 am – 1:30 pm, at the Napa Senior Center.
There will be no meetings July and August.
